Meet the Doctors

Dr. Rick Evans, DDS

Dr. Rick received his dental degree in 1986 from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Medical Dental Center where he earned the Outstanding Clinician Award. He has earned many awards and special achievements since that time and has since completed thousands of hours of contihttp://nuing education. He has attended numerous privately sponsored advanced training programs, which keeps him highly skilled in the latest dental techniques and technology. Dr. Rick especially enjoys treatments that involve dental implants as well as surgical procedures such as tissue grafting and wisdom tooth removal.

Dr. Rick is actively involved in community affairs.  He is a member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Washington County Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. He also participates and is a member of the National Dental Practice Based Research Network (NDPBRN).  He has hosted guest lecturers for the ADA, AGD and numerous other local dental societies.  He is an active member of Medical Teams International volunteering on their dental vans.  During National Children’s Dental Health month, he educates children at the local primary schools in our community and enjoys working with youth sports teams.

Dr. Rick has been married for 43 years to his wife Kari and is the father of four children, Travis, Lindsey, Ashley, and Taylor and grandfather to 13 grandchildren. He enjoys the outdoors by rafting, fishing, backpacking, skiing, farming and traveling.

Dr. Travis Evans, DMD

Dr. Travis graduated in 2009 from Boston University School of Dental Medicine Magna Cum Laude. He earned the Outstanding Achievement & Excellence Award for Patient and Practice Management and was the only recipient in the University to receive the Outstanding award in Endodontics. He participates in the highest level of clinical dentistry and is abreast of the most effective and up to date treatments available. He enjoys Endodontics (root canals) and enjoys doing Invisalign Orthodontics for whom he is a designated provider. Dr Travis frequently tests and evaluates new dental technology for ADEC- the worlds largest dental manufacturer based in Newberg, OR. 

Dr. Travis was raised in Portland, Oregon and is a graduate of West Linn High School.  He is fluent in Spanish and has been on dental humanitarian trips to central Mexico treating Tarahumara Indians.  He is a member of the ADA and ODA. Dr. Travis enjoys educating children at local schools in our community during National Children's Dental Health Month and presenting public health education to Senior Citizens.

Dr. Travis has been married for 19 years to his wife, Liz.  They have four children Calvin (17), Miles (15), Alexa (12) and Addison (11).  He loves spending time with his family, especially teaching and coaching youth sports. Dr. Travis also is involved with the future of Tualatin, serving on the city's Task Force. He enjoys biking, playing basketball, and fishing.

 Dr. Erwin Weichel DMD, MS

We are happy to have Dr. Erwin Weichel as part of our team since last spring. Dr. Weichel is a specialist in periodontics. He is an expert in the supporting structures of the teeth including ligaments, bone and tissue. He performs a variety of advanced grafting procedures and helps keep the teeth strong and healthy. He has had an amazing career including academic professorship at OHSU, chief of periodontics in the Air Force, and has practiced in the Portland metro area for many years. We have known and referred to Dr. Weichel for years and feel very lucky to have Dr. Weichel here in our office on Mondays.

Dr. Weichel loves dentistry and has an enthusiastic desire to continue to provide the very best care to patients that may need to see him or are referred to him by other dentists. He and his wife Jan have three daughters and four grandkids who they love spending time with. Dr. Weichel also enjoys gardening, hiking and traveling. We are grateful to have his professionalism, kindness, and expertise in our office. 

Dr. Amanda Gallegos, DMD

Dr. Gallegos is an accomplished clinician and caring dentist that comes to us with years of private practice experience. She is a 2005 graduate of OHSU School of Dental Medicine after earning a BS in Criminal Justice at Boise State University. Dr. Gallegos is a member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She holds a sedation permit and is adept in helping patients achieve maximum comfort. Dr. Gallegos has also completed extensive training in
surgical placement of implants and has experience in providing outstanding dental care in all facets of general dentistry. This includes cosmetic care, prevention, restorative dentistry, endodontics, and periodontics-including use of lasers.  

Dr. Gallegos is a compassionate dentist who recognizes the specific needs of each patient. She has provided dental care for a variety of charities including Medical Teams International, and Northwest Medical Teams. She also served as a Juvenile Probation Officer supporting kids prior to her career in dentistry. 

Dr. Gallegos has two children and a precious new grandchild nearby whom she loves spending time with! She enjoys being outdoors discovering new cultures and foods. She can also be found on the water enjoying her paddle board and is an experienced and adventurous scuba diver!
